How does it work?
Our Bella Al Fresco team will curate a luxury picnic just for you and your guest at the location of your choice; whether that is your favorite park, in the comfort of your backyard, or your choice of one of our specially selected sites. We set up, and style your luxury picnic and have everything ready upon your arrival.
On the day of your booking, we will contact you 30 minutes before your picnic and let you know the exact location. We stay at the picnic site to greet you and make sure nobody else decides to enjoy your picnic.
At the conclusion of your picnic, you will receive a text that our team is approaching to clean up your picnic. All you need to do is show up and have a splendid time.

Do you provide food and drinks?
We have a limited food selection that includes charcuterie boxes, dessert boxes, donut boards, food pick up, hot cocoa, hot cider, sparkling water and sparkling cider! All of our edible items are prepared with gloves in a very sanitized kitchen.
Bella Al Fresco does not offer alcoholic beverages of any kind, and we are not responsible for consumption of alcoholic beverage or any penalties that may occur. Most public sites in the DMV prohibit the use of alcohol.

May I bring my own food and drinks?
Absolutely! You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages to your picnic. Do keep in mind that we offer a package that includes a small dessert and charcuterie box. You also have the option to have a member of our team pick up your food order from restaurants within 5 miles from your picnic location for a $20 fee!

Is it an additional fee for my children attending?
We do not charge for children and infants under the age of 10. However, please note that all our packages are meant for 2 guests and we will only be providing a small table, bench and 2 place settings, unless you have added and paid the $30 per head charge for an additional table setting.

What areas do you travel to?
We normally operate within the Northern Virginia, Downtown D.C./National Mall, National Harbor, and Maryland areas. For all other counties, feel free to email us to request a quote on a travel fee! We would be delighted to work something out.

How far in advance do I book?
The earlier the better! We would prefer for inquiries to be made at least 72 hours prior to your booking date, but we do understand that it’s not always possible. Please reach out regardless, and we will do our best to accommodate you!

Is there a cancellation policy?
We do not offer refunds, but we understand life happens. We can reschedule your picnic at our earliest available date. Our team must be notified of your cancellation within a minimum of 72 hours prior to your booking. We also understand that weather related incidents happen. In these situations we will work with you to reschedule your picnic at our earliest available date or move your picnic into the comfort of your home. There are no cancellation charges for rescheduling your picnic.

Can I bring my pet to my booking?
We welcome furry loved ones at our picnics! However, please keep in mind that if something gets damaged you are responsible for it.

Can I leave whenever I want during my booking time frame?
If you decide to depart your picnic early, we require 30 minutes notice so that our equipment is not left unattended. Equipment should be supervised at all times and clients will be held responsible for any damaged or missing items.

What COVID-19 precautions are being taken?
Our team here at Bella Al Fresco treats your safety and health as a top priority! We are taking the following steps to ensure your experience is as safe as possible:

All members of our team have been fully vaccinated

Sanitizing and cleaning all of our equipment after each use

Providing hand sanitizer and wipes at every booking

Minimal (if any) contact between our team and clients

Gloves and masks will be worn at all times by our team during the set up and clean up of your picnic

Pillows, rugs, and blankets are washed between each booking

What happens if I’m running late to my booking?
Please let us know as soon as possible if you will be late. We understand that life happens and traffic in the DMV area is unpredictable. Please do note that we take multiple bookings in a day. We ask that our clients map out their commute and plan to show up 5 minutes before their planned picnic time. In order for us to service all of our clients as planned, we are only able to wait 20 minutes for our clients to show up to their picnic. If clients are more than 20 minutes late they will not be refunded for their picnic as our team makes multiple efforts to ensure our clients are fully aware of their booking details. Please note that your picnic starts from the agreed time you booked for, whether you are late or not.
